I am an Italian teacher at the Dante Alighieri Society of Charleston, SC. I am passionate about sharing my love for the Italian language and culture. The Dante Alighieri of Charleston is presently planning a series of events and lectures at the Dante for the Fall.I am also a cook and gardener. I organize and teach the Italian language through acitve participation in cooking. I like the classes to be casual and in the kitchen. Often we will prepare a dish or a meal together and learn about the language and customs related to the culinary arts. I write about food, customs, language and culinary arts in my blog: Italian in the kitchen and on my facebook page. I love working in my own garden where my husband and I grow a variety of vegetables, flowers and natives. I dedicate time to the Daniel Island School and Community Garden that I founded and helped build and develop. It is very satisfying to be a part of a garden group that brings so much pleasure and educational experience to many of my neighbors, gardeners, teachers and children.
