Support the monthly and quarterly close process which includes preparation, review and approval of moderate to complex journal entries, preparation of recurring, standard and ad hoc reports, and account analyses using Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Business Intelligence Reporting (OBIEE).Responsible for the timely and accurate posting of payroll for MMC’s consulting business segment which includes multiple entities. Review payroll batches generated by staff to ensure accuracy of GL coding and amounts, Provide payroll reports to controllership and FP&A colleagues on a timely and ad-hoc basis during the monthly close. Resolve any issues as needed. Tracking of various payroll related accruals such as retentions bonus and severance notification accruals, preparation of JE’s to reclass payments against these accruals. Reconciliation of the payroll funding files provided by Treasury to the GL. Act as the subject matter expert for various payroll related projects as well as PeopleSoft Self Service.Responsible for the reconciliations of all Cash Mobility accounts and bank reconciliations for Mercer US and Oliver Wyman US accounts.Work closely with members of the global finance team, controllers and regional reporting staff to ensure financial results are accurate and adequately explained.Primary contact for external, SOX and internal audit requests.
