About Jacqueline Martinez, Lmft, Lmhc, Ncc, Ms
Earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Organizational Communication from Florida International University, and a double track Master of Science in Counseling specializing in Mental Health and Marriage and Family Therapy from Barry University has prepared me for an informed approach to human behavior. Through personal experiences and learned interventions, I effectively work with individuals, couples and families. Currently, I work from a trauma-informed approach with integration of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and the use of TIR. My clinical experience has helped my expertise in trauma counseling for survivors of domestic violence, family trauma and sexual abuse. Counseling is my career and passion, but changing hats and roles for the purpose of this description, leads me to where I have the most experience which is organizational business practices. I also worked for University of Miami for 6 years in facilities department including Supervisor Role to ensure building compliance. Wearing multiple hats and working different roles has helped me build skills that are personal accomplishments as well as assets for any company I pursue to be a part of.
