    1.Molecular Collections Project (awarded special staff bonus):•Audited NHM genetic resource archive to identify gaps in biodiversity representation.•Secured funding (£6K) for site visits to ‘gold standard’ cryofacilities worldwide, investigating best practices for LN2, ultracold and ambient storage, LIMS, policy, procedure and process. Produced reports for cryofacility installation. •Jointly responsible for securing funding for NHM Biodiversity Biobank: £1.6M over 2 years (Wolfson Foundation and Government Dept DCMS funding).•Developed DNA Barcode Pipeline at NHM and secured funding (£100K) for equipment, consumables and staffing in NHM Sequencing Facility).•Developed Common Loans Policy and Guidelines for EU museums and herbaria (EDIT), helping to standardise EU guidelines and access of biodiversity collections to researchers. •Participated on NHM-commercial programme committee investigating ambient long term storage of museum specimens; tissues and DNA/RNA, helping to secure funding for 2 year’s research at NHM London. These technologies dovetailed with SYNTHESYS NA2 initiatives (DNA damage evaluation and repair), and MCf development. These joint collaborative investigations future proofed ‘New Collections’ at NHM.2.Laboratory Management: Responsible for allocation of space, resource, core funded consumables, facilities, health and safety for molecular laboratory users. First point of reference for all lab user enquiries including training, expert support and troubleshooting experimental procedures. Proficient and knowledgeable in all techniques, operation and routine servicing requirements of all equipment used in molecular biology laboratories.3.Financial Management: Budget holder responsible for lab ordering, service and maintenance. Tracked and monitored all financial transactions, cross-referenced to researchers’ cost centres, and advised on expenditure status and grant planning. Undertook monthly reconciliations and resolved all discrepancies.
