Researched, directed, recruited, refined and grew a special needs ministry for children with special needs as well as their families. Maintained secular community and resource contacts for families especially those new to the special needs community.

Provided key support and suggestions for a conference that qualified for CPE credits for Social Workers. Conference speaker relating a hands-on, research-based approach to implementing ministry programs. The conference focused on honoring a place for people with special needs and their families within a myriad of faith communities.

Substitute teacher district-wide. Provided substitute services throughout grades 1 through 12. Covered a maternity leave for a third/fourth grade Learning Support classroom at the request of the teacher.

Secured the trust of children diagnosed with moderate to severe Autism using an approach that respects the child by accepting and celebrating their uniqueness. Through establishing trust, I (along with a team) provided academic and social skills instruction and practice providing the foundation for returning to a successful public education experience with minimal support from school personnel.

As experience grew in this position, I became a crucial member of the business support staff in the school of engineering and secured the respect of the faculty across four departments. Oversaw financial administrative services, processing budgets, payroll, tuition and purchase orders. Created and maintained databases and filing systems for the office. Interviewed, hired and supervised student workers to provide a respectable and competent resource to customers (faculty, staff, management and students).
