I am a former registered nurse with my emergency specialization from British Columbia, Canada. During my 7+ years of experience I have worked in urban hospitals, as well as enjoyed travel nursing throughout Northern Canada. During this time, I discovered my passion for critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and organizing chaos. In 2018 I decided to apply the skills I developed in the ER towards the pursuit of my Master of Business Administration through the University of Alberta. Through this endeavor I have been able to transfer my abilities into both classwork and extracurricular activities such as Net Impact and acting as Co-Chair for the healthcare track of the Experiential Learning Committee. And I have found a particular interest in project management, leadership skills, and business strategy. Since August 2020 I have had the opportunity to intern as a Business Analyst for a healthcare tech startup, where I have truly tested by organizational capacity, as I simultaneously managed business plan development, funding proposals, market research, and project management. Outside of work and school I enjoy a plethora of artistic pursuits. From painting, to cake decorating, all the way to furniture refinishing, and most recently, woodworking, if it involves creativity, I’m keen to give it a try.
