It has been a privilege working for Colyer-Fergusson Trust since 2002, helping it make a lasting difference to the people of Kent. The Trust makes charitable grants out of funds donated by Sir James Colyer-Fergusson, a Kentish man who cared deeply about the county and its people. As this has been a part-time role, it has given me to opportunity to work as an advisor for many other grant-making trusts and philanthropic families. In 1999, Rob Lilley and I set up 'Issimo' to deliver practical, intelligent advice to grant-making organisations. Our main focus has been our technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the practical issues facing grant makers. We are proud to say that we have worked separately and in collaboration for over 150 grant-making organisations, helping them streamline their administration so that they can concentrate on the mission, not the ministry of their grant-making. Issimo has now evolved into a dynamic software company, configuring Salesforce database systems for grant-makers - and I am delighted to remain involved in a part-time capacity as a specialist advisor.
