Educator in documentary media, with a focus on participatory media. Jackie teaches workshops internationally. Creator of The Narrative Projects, an initiative that uses documentary strategies, including participatory media, to illuminate the unseen, unheard and unknown stories of the global refugee experience. Facilitator of the Women’s Documentary Photo Workshop in Jerash Refugee Camp- a project of The Narrative Projects initiative. Creator and facilitator of the “Bridges Radio Project,” a workshop in partnership with Bridges Baltimore, equipping Baltimore City high school seniors with the skills of audio production as a tool for contributing their voices and the voices of their peers to a more authentic narrative of Baltimore City youth.

Managed and implemented internal and external communications and marketing for Bridges’ long term support program, serving 272 motivated Baltimore City Youth across two program sites. Responsibilities included: managing in-house news team for year-round social media coverage; producing quarterly newsletters; design of educational and marketing materials; grant writing; mid-year and annual reporting.

Kerning Cultures is a Middle East podcast dissecting the complex narratives of the region through stories.

Advised the Middle East Children's Institute and provided strategic planning and directional assistance on prospective and existing project management within the West Bank and Jordan. Conducted extensive health, educational and employment-related assessments of the Jerash “Gaza” Refugee Camp’s formal and informal systems and infrastructure.

Structured and implemented educational and recreational programming for community members in Jerash Refugee Camp. Worked closely with local UNRWA-managed entities, non-profit organizations and businesses to secure community buy-in for programs ranging from women’s nutritional health and yoga instruction courses, to seasonal arts and athletic programming for children and adolescent youth.
