As a Project Manager with the City and County of San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, I have successfully managed projects large and small, with a combined project value of over $110M. Projects such as the Helen Diller Civic Center Playgrounds, the Bi-Rite Street Cafe at Civic Center, the Garfield Pool and Recreation Center, and the Portsmouth Square renovation project have been technically complex and politically sensitive, with a high degree of involvement by governmental agencies and the public. I have successfully navigated many delicate situations, such as obtaining Historic Preservation Commission approvals, reaching community consensus on the future design of Chinatown’s “living room,” and rebuilding trust with communities that had lost faith in the department. I am especially proud of the relationships I have built as a result—with city agencies, community members, donors, non-profits, contractors, and elected officials.I joined this team because I wish to bring lasting and impactful change to our communities. Being able to make positive contributions to our city’s public spaces has been incredibly rewarding.

I had a dual-role at Patkau Architects, one of Canada's foremost international architecture and design studios.I led the operations and business development activities of the firm, including cultivating new client relationships, competing for publicly-bid projects, negotiating contracts and fee proposals, financial analysis and strategic planning. I worked closely with the Principals, our clients, partner firms and consultants.As Project Manager I led the execution of projects, serving as a conduit for communication between our clients, consultants, and governing bodies. I was accountable for successful project delivery including developing concept design proposals, forecasting schedules and budgets, project coordination, supervision of teams and documents, shepherding projects through public processes, and supporting client fundraising efforts.Successes included securing new clients and projects, overhauling financial reporting systems, restructuring fee proposals and pricing strategies, initiating measurement and analysis of key performance metrics, implementing performance evaluation and employee development, and managing both hiring efforts and downsizing initiatives.

I taught a graduate-level architectural design studio during the Fall 2015 term. The subject of architecture as an integrative and transformative instrument was examined through the lens of the architectural promenade, embodied perception, and material transformation. In addition, coursework dealt with issues of form, structure, tectonics, building systems, as well as modes of representation, formal analysis and design methodology. This studio placed an emphasis on programming, siting, materials, and landscape design.

• Responsible for the design and execution of the award-wining Dream Downtown Hotel. This included managing the coordination of all exterior, interior and furniture documents, specs and mock-ups, as well as overseeing the production of hundreds of custom components for the bespoke hotel amenities and guestrooms.• Directed internal and external teams, and was accountable for schedule, budget, scope creep and deliverables. • Managed client presentations, project coordination, and worked closely with consultant team and contractors to successfully deliver complex building projects on time and on budget.
