Working with Grupo Textil for almost 10 years has allowed me to learn in depth all aspects of running and maintaining a small business with a large customer base. I have experience in everything from accounts payable/receiveable, to selling high end products to major fashion houses. I went to school for design and in that, found a great love for textiles of all kinds. Being able to see first-hand how a lace design is conceived from concept to end product gives me the added knowledge to help my customer acheive the design aesthetic they are aiming for and help them understand the inner-workings of such a complicated textile.Even with my short time at Shameeza Embroideries, I learned so much about having an eye for detail and precision. Traveling to India was such an amazing opportunity, especially for having been with the company for only one month. I was able to experience first hand the extreme amount of work that goes into hand embroideries in order to makes a designer's vision come to life. It was very hard work that helped continue to shape me into someone who has a staunch work ethic and passion for textiles.My goal is to someday go back to school for textile design because I want to continue to increase my knowledge of textiles and design and I hope to marry them together someday.With my current job at the Bantivoglio Group, having my hands in so many different business ventures (most of which I have been learning about as I go along) has increased my ability to juggle and maintain a mindset that allows me to move quickly from one project to the next. I am learning so many more aspects about running a small family business and about industries that are all new to me. It has helped me to maintain my curiosity to learn new things.Specialties: Extensive knowledge of Leaver and Jacquardtronic/Textronic lace, embroidery, tulle, cashmere and wool. Familiar with fabric testing, development and production aspects (both on the mill side and customer side), sewing and design.I have attended and worked at the European Preview Show in NYC, the LA Textile Show, Premier Vision in Paris, and Interfilier in Paris and Lyon.
