Additionally the team focused on standardizing, modernizing and integrating >30 surrounding technologies including radiology imaging, cardiology systems, revenue cycle ‘bolt-ons’, and more. The EHR plan was designed to retire a variety of cobbled together, best of breed systems saving the AHN millions of dollars annually. The IT and clinical informatics team established >50 multi-disciplinary working groups of nurses, physicians, pharmacists and others from across the AHN to design inpatient, ambulatory, and population management workflows and build the new record with a patient centric perspective. The robust model was launched at the new Health + Wellness Pavilion within 9 months. It was further deployed across three hospitals, including the flagship Allegheny General Hospital, and 407 physician office locations over the following 18 months. Dailey influenced effective design, implementation and adoption of standardized clinical and business workflows, leadership dashboards, and enabling technologies that allowed offices and hospitals to track and act on real-time data resulting in safer patient care, coordination of care, enhanced patient experience, increased clinical efficiency, and increased financial efficiency: reduced transcription costs >$1M, physician ordering >85%, medications administered with PPID >90%.
