The common thread running through my life is a passion for freedom of expression, diversity, sustainability and the world around me. This is probably due to the fact that I was born and raised behind the “Berlin Wall”. I am a curious global citizen enjoying multiple cultures and languages. Those close to me call me a people person who loves listening to other people’s stories but also likes sharing her own experiences. I am self-motivated and love trying and learning new things - failure is part of this journey. I push through my failures, see what I am doing wrong, and do it better. What can I offer?MY KNOWLEDGE: 25+ years of experience (in the global South) in: (global) health; gender equality, diversity and inclusion; water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); independent media; partnership building; leadership and capacity development; quality and change management; PMEL; business development/proposal writing; research; microfinance.MY SKILLS:- Has an entrepreneurial spirit and offers tailor-made solutions- Strong programme/project manager- A creative person with a doers mentality (risk taker/unusual experiences versus focus/balance)- Good at exploring, creating and implementing new ideas (products, services, alliances)- Broker and facilitator, connecting people, organizations and topics - Measures the result, but focusses on the process- Keeps the overview, is a flexible personality but shows perseverance- Experience as a trainer and training designer- Able to negotiate and manoeuvre between different interests, systems and values.Since I really love photography, I decided to show my personality through imagery. Since 2014 > 60 guest lectures at high schools throughout the Netherlands (Amersfoort, Amsterdam, Deventer, Gouda, Hilversum, Huizen, Naarden, Nijkerk, Putten, Wijhe, Zwolle) 2014: 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. On November 9, 2014 we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. To promote dialogue on the recent German history, the Amsterdam Institute for German Studies (DIA) organizes the project 'Blik op de muur'. People who were born and raised in the former GDR (DDR) acted as guest speakers at selected Dutch secondary schools, sharing their personal stories. The German Embassy in The Hague supports this relevant initiative. 2. Guest speaker at the Civic Education Conference held by the Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam (Amsterdam, May 2018)3. Guest lecturer at the College 'Hogeschool InHolland', 'Hogeschool van Amsterdam', 'Driestar Hogeschool' Gouda, 'Hogeschool Utrecht'.
