I earned my Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Brandeis University (Waltham, MA), where I became passionate about STEM research, social justice, and supporting STEM graduate students in their Master's and Doctoral studies. My goal is to support students, with a focus on students who are historically not well represented in academia, in alignment with the educational opportunity goals of the land grant mission. I seek to increase access and make a more equitable and inclusive Purdue Engineering. To accomplish these goals, I incorporate Engineering Education research and assessment into my staff position to make the most impact through my work.My current position involves work in the following graduate student focused areas: access, partnerships, mentoring, uplifting student excellence, broadening participation, inclusion, belonging, recruitment, transition programs, student success, university representation (GEM Consortium), preparing graduate students for faculty careers, co-PI for grants [Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership (SIGP) and Sloan Center for Systemic Change (SCSC)], and more.
