My primary responsibility is to lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the City's Records and Information Management (RIM) program. I champion the importance of proper recordkeeping practices throughout the City by reinforcing requirements and goals within the program. I also provide expertise and input into other departmental areas that affect the City's records and information assets, ensuring that these areas fully support and implement RIM policies. I'm responsible for communicating and heightening awareness of the ways records and information management supports the City's business processes, overall strategic goals and objectives.

My position is responsible for records management and administrative work of a strategic and an analytical nature, including monitoring, identifying and responding to the City’s records and information management needs, including the maintaining of security, accountability and integrity of records. I'm responsible for planning, policy making, developing procedures, developing document tracking mechanisms and evaluating the effectiveness of the City’s approaches to compliance with FOIP and security of vital records to achieve business resumption in the event of a disaster. Providing education and support for the integration of the records and information management program, including evaluation of, and recommending improvements to, the processes for the creation, handling, storage and disposition of records, and making recommendations regarding equipment and supply selection including technology, cabinets, folders, labeling etc. My team and I are also responsible for the sale of plots and record keeping activities for the City of St. Albert Municipal Cemetery.

Parkland County Ab

My responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring Parkland County’s Records and Information Management program (RIM). This includes supporting staff throughout the implementation of the RIM program, adapting to functional methodology, adopting the new Corporate Records Structure and training in electronic records capture and storage processes. My position directly coordinates the proper transfer and storage of inactive records; assists with developing record scanning and imaging processes; and participates in various committees, meetings, workshops and conferences related to managing corporate records and information.
