"Jacqueline Heidanus (1972) maakt objecten van porselein en aardewerk die ze CERAMIC VOLUMES noemt. Volume wijst hier niet alleen op de bolle buitenvorm maar ook op de ruimte die de holle vorm binnenin omvat. De bolle organische vormen zien eruit als grote afgeronde kiezels die Jacqueline handmatig bewerkt. Kenmerkend is dat haar tekeningen zijn opgebouwd uit puntjes die verdiept liggen in het materiaal en gevuld worden met glazuur. Bijna als een tatoeage in de porseleinen huid. De volumes gaan leven door haar tekeningen maar stralen ook rust uit. In elk object is de spanning voelbaar tussen hard en zacht, zwaar en licht. De volumes staan op zichzelf en zijn allemaal uniek."
