Almost 20 years ago I discovered my passion to help my community, it was thru volunteering at my local Latino/Hispanic organization back then. After realizing the needs and the satisfaction of helping my community I started working there as a receptionist, admin assistant and finished my journey there as an Executive Admin Assistant.From there my career took me to other endeavors where I learned more about my abilities, strengths and interests and gained experience in different fields and industries.It was during the pandemic that I returned to what I love the most, helping my community, Iglesia La Semilla gave me the opportunity to serve them through one of the most challenging times. Organizing and creating strategies on the go as there was no time to waste, we reached out to those who needed us the most, linking them to support services while they were quarantining, bringing food, PPE, COVID-19 education and vaccination efforts to marginalized communities.I am now very excited to be on the first Promotores de Salud certified by Durham Tech, who created the first class/course in Spanish in conjunction with our Teacher Fiorella Horna.
