I am a UK and European patent attorney with expertise in automotive, medical device and general mechanical sectors. I have experience in patent drafting and prosecution, as well as contentious matters. I also have experience in trade mark prosecution and opposition. I joined Dummett Copp LLP in 2008 and became an associate of the firm in 2010.Previously, I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2002 with a Master's degree in Natural Sciences, having studied general Engineering for two years before specialising in Materials Science. I continued with my post graduate studies at Cambridge, within the Pfizer Institute, and completed a PhD in 2005 researching the effect of evaporation conditions on selective polymorph crystallisation from solution. I then spent three years as a Research Assistant investigating peptide nano-structures in solution for pharmaceutical and medical applications.
