I currently work remotely, handling client emails, sending out exam and procedure forms, maintaining/updating said forms as needed, verifying electronic prescriptions, and scheduling appointments. Prior to September 2023 I worked in the clinic, where I also performed other reception duties, such as checking in clients and their cats for exams and procedures and then checking them out after their visits, answering phones, etc. I created all of the electronic forms our clinic uses, e.g., exam forms, oral surgery authorizations, and spay/neuter consents, when we were using curbside check-in during covid and subsequently. I also facilitated our clinic's transition from paper records with Avimark software to electronic medical records in 2021, including outlining procedures to scan in our prior records and setting up the system to improve workflow. I'm also really quite good at distracting cats when they're having something done like a blood draw, which is less marketable than funny.

General reception duties, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, answering a multi-line phone system, greeting clients in a friendly, professional manner, checking in clients and their pets for appointments, utilizing office equipment, and proficiency in Cornerstone and Microsoft Office software; ordering office supplies; writing employee schedules; handling/helping distraught or upset clients; providing basic pet health information; orienting and training new reception hires.

Proofed complex legal documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation; identified formatting inconsistencies in documents; proofed revisions to documents against attorney mark-ups to ensure accuracy; assisted with and proofed transcription of audio files; maintained strict confidentiality; worked on deadlines as a part of a team.
