I am an undergraduate student at the University of Vermont, pursuing a dual major in Psychological Sciences and Health and Society, with a minor in History. My academic path is guided by a deep commitment to understanding and addressing critical issues in psychology and public health. In my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to conduct research on cross-cultural psychology under Professor Cepeda-Benito at UVM. I also interned at the Center for Health and Wellbeing, where I focused on suicide prevention awareness, researching legislative frameworks and statistical data related to suicide prevention in New Hampshire and Vermont. Additionally, I participated in mental health trainings, educational meetings, and contributed to creating marketing strategies and digital content to enhance outreach efforts.Currently, I have the pleasure of being an intern at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, working in the casework department. Here, I gain hands-on experience with rehabilitative programs for incarcerated women, fostering a meaningful connection with this population. With a genuine desire to make a positive impact, I am working toward a career in social work. I am dedicated to using my education, experiences, and skills to address the complex challenges individuals face in mental health and well-being.
