I was an undergraduate research assistant at the Federal Criminal Justice Clinic (FCJC) at the University of Chicago Law School. I primarily conducted legal research for FCJC litigation, coded courtwatching and case docket data for the Federal Bailwatching Project, and oversaw court transcript ordering projects.In 2022, I served as a Project Manager and Data Manager for the FCJC’s Federal Bailwatching Project. As Project Manager, I led the final writing and editing stage of the Project’s forthcoming report. Additionally, as Data Manager, I validated the Report’s datapoints and facilitated quantitative and qualitative data representations in the Report.

I researched law reviews, supreme court dockets, and general news outlets to find readings and help build Professor Siegler's syllabus; I managed the course Canvas page; and I helped identify guest speakers for the course.

Alongside Master's and PhD students at the Crown Family School, I served as an undergraduate research assistant for Professor Julia R. Henly's Child Care Equity Study. An original abstract based on this research that I co-authored was accepted into the 2021 APPAM Fall Research Conference and the University of Chicago's 2021 Undergraduate Research Symposium. I was one of two interns selected from an applicant pool of 50+ students; recipient of an IOP Summer Intern stipend. In this role, I researched issues faced by working poor individuals and developed solutions for LiftUp, a for-profit social enterprise of The Resurrection Project. I created brand new employee benefits programs to mitigate food insecurity and improve health/well-being. Additionally, I assisted on the development of a new community established in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. I provided branding guidance and research reports.

I planned, marketed, and executed events in the North-West Residential Commons. This involved promoting events to students throughout the year, assisting the Resident Dean to craft engaging events for the student body, and providing logistical support to the Resident Dean. I was selected through an application process to represent my house in the dormitory.To boost engagement and excitement involving the annual sports fest competition, I provided an idea of staggering events to gain "points" for each residential house. This new initiative for the competition is being employed in the 2019-2020 academic year.

I tutored in all academic areas for grades K-12. My work also included test and college preparation. During my senior year of high school I worked with 17 students on a regular basis. In the summer between my first and second years at UChicago, I tutored four students in honors mathematics and chemistry.

I worked in the Policy and Special Projects Unit of the Manhattan Borough President's Office where I focused on Education, Housing, and Economic Development. My responsibilities included memo-writing, research, and on-site events/projects. I organized approximately 50 of my fellow interns for multiple data collection projects for the 2020 census and food insecurity.I have also worked extensively on food insecurity. This work included creating a database of over 200 food resources throughout the borough, organizing approximately 50 interns to distribute information regarding the Free Summer Meals program (reaching 150+ locations), and collecting data for more than 200 supermarkets for an updated Age-Friendly Supermarket Guide.Additionally, I executed a database containing all Manhattan and Brooklyn pediatric emergency rooms. This was the first pediatric emergency room database for these boroughs, and it was made with the intention to better supply the public with this pertinent information through future legislation.
