Acquired beekeeping knowledge across 3 landscapes in New York City by working in live honey bee hives and applying best practices in maintaining the health of the bees in an apiary. Liaised with agricultural entrepreneurs to learn about the honey and wax business. Discussed business planning aspect around the factors that intersect the food system, native plant conservation and bee husbandry. Developed decision making skills in a small group setting; gained experience in working in a team.
