Jacqui R. is a Special Events and Marketing Manager at Gilda's Club South Florida. Colleagues describe her as "Jacqui was my President in our chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota for two years. She took over as president, unplanned, by necessity when we were undergoing restructuring. She took on several executive board positions and responsibilities in order to keep the chapter alive. I became chapter Treasurer at the same time, and she and I worked together to manage the chapter’s finances. I reported to her, and her guidance was instrumental in turning a newly initiated sister (me) into a leader. Her efforts have seen our members more than double, and under her leadership we went from a struggling chapter to being recognized in our province as chapter of the year. Through her efforts, we have increased our philanthropy and, most recently, received an outreach grant from our national organization to help us help a local elementary school purchase learning materials. I cannot recommend Jacqui enough; the work she does is meaningful and well-reasoned. She strives for practicality, for results, and for impact. She knows all too well how to balance multiple roles and responsibilities, and she is no stranger to deadlines. She can handle a high-stress environment with poise. Additionally, Jacqui is one of the most emotionally intelligent people I have ever worked with. She knows exactly how to handle herself in front of people and how to present her thoughts and her actions so that others listen and understand. She knows how to work with as well as direct others, and her presence is both calming and inspiring. Jacqui is one of the best people to ever find yourself working with. "
