I am a highly skilled instructor with extensive military experience both nationally and internationally. I embrace leadership roles where I can use my experience to its best effect but also relish working as a team member in order to accomplish a task. I have worked in operations and logistics appointments with United Nations missions in Liberia (2004), Kosovo (2007) and Lebanon (2012, 2018 and 2022). In these roles I have worked with my Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Hungarian and Italian counterparts. In 2018 I provided Public Order Training (Riot Training) for Fijian personnel which culminated in a successful combined Irish, Finnish and Fijian exercise. I was also tasked with briefing South Korean personnel on these training exercises. This required me to be able communicate with personnel who had minimal to no English. In Ireland I have been a key member of a training centre which provides induction training for new recruits to the army. This requires excellent communications skills, leadership and the ability to provide effective training for personnel from a wide socio-economic and educational background.I develop, administrate and deliver office information systems training and assessment. I also deliver specialised instructor training (train the trainers) developing the capabilities of junior instructors. I have taken the lead in ensuring that my units training and educational practices and facilities are accessible for all students and am the Specific Learning Needs advisor for my training centre.I recently became a manager of an exciting new Defence Forces Cybersecurity training project which provides training for all personnel in a wide variety of cybersecurity concerns including physical security and data protection.
