Separation and Divorce Advisors provides professional negotiation and communication advice (for individuals), separation collaboration services (for couples) and family law support for those experiencing a separation or divorce. We are project managers of our client's divorce, helping them to navigate (either individually or together) the journey of divorce with support, options and a strategy.I consider that success is not only when a client achieves a good divorce settlement as quickly and cheaply (in the circumstances) – but when clients conclude their divorce process intact and happy with how they have behaved and who they are.Who do we help?Anyone who is experiencing a marriage breakdown, contemplating separation or in the middle of a divorce. Why do I do what I do?Having worked as a lawyer for Australia’s top law firm for many years and later as a negotiation trainer and conflict coach for a Top 10 ASX company, I unexpectedly found myself in the process of having to negotiate a divorce settlement with the father of my 3 young children. Despite all my professional experience and skills, I still found the process stressful and overwhelming. Divorce seemed like a black hole - I didn’t know who to turn to. I was not sure about the legal advice I was receiving (though I knew it was expensive) and while my counselor was fantastic, she was not equipped to advise me as to my financial negotiations with my ex.After commencing studying psychology, I realized that I wanted to help individuals understand the divorce legal process, their parenting and financial options and how to behave strategically, rather than reactively, during their divorce. We have offices in Melbourne, Central Coast (NSW) and Sydney but offer services nationwide. We are currently providing Separation and Divorce Advice to Verve Superannuation.Jacqueline WhartonFounderSeparation and Divorce AdvisorsStrategy - Options - Supportwww.separationanddivorceadvisors.com.aujacqueline.wharton@sdadvisors.com.au
