I am migrating a Business Intelligence system in support of the US Geological Survey. I am analyzing and reverse engineering the former system consisting of Oracle Database, Oracle Designer (PL/SQL Web), PL/SQL, JavaScript and CSS. I am developing the new system in Oracle Database, Oracle APEX (Application Express), PL/SQL, JavaScript, and CSS.

• Developed a web-based project management repository for project managers at Cox Communications. Responsible for data model design, test plan, Oracle database development (DDL), development, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support. Developed in Oracle APEX 4.0 and Oracle 11g SQL, and PL/SQL. Implemented APEX forms, reports, interactive reports, validations, dynamic actions, and APEX collections. Created tables, sequences, and triggers for database. Created stored procedures, functions, and packages for business logic. Development tools included SQL Developer 3.0.

I used graphics and charting class libraries (jfree) for the UI. Typically the client UI was implemented as a dashboard with user options for tables, summaries, graphs, and charts. I implemented the business logic in Java with dynamic queries to the databases as well as programmatic manipulation of result sets in memory. I set up MySQL back ends for data and accessed the MySQL server via jdbc. Additional back end data was read from Oracle, Remedy, and MS Access databases. I developed ongoing enhancements for these applications working with users for both requirements gathering and user testing. I used the Eclipse IDE. • Performed UNIX System Administration for a local area network (LAN) of UNIX and Linux engineering workstations using UNIX scripting• Authored ASP based web applications for generating manufacturing process sheets using HTML, CSS, and XML parsing• Created software enhancements in C++ for a real-time distributed simulation system
