I oversee the member and donor services department and the day to day operations of a 40,000 household membership program serving the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. I hire and manage a staff of 3 full time, 3 part time, and multiple seasonal staff to uphold the highest standards of member and donor customer service. The Member and Donor Services department handles all of the gift entry and acknowledgement processing for the Cleveland Zoological Society as well as the ticket processing of all of the ticketed member and donor events including large events like Twilight at the Zoo that exceeds 7,000 attendees and ZooFriends Night that exceeds 4,000 attendees. I also contribute to member and donor communications, writing articles for our member magazine and blog, composing welcome series emails, and updating renewals notices and acknowledgement.

I processed and fulfilled orders to be packed and shipped to national and international customers as well as maintaining shipping records, inventory stock, backorder logs and supply stock. I controlled the inventory layout and restocking needs of 8000 sq/ft facility with over 1000 items. I assessed budgetary problems and solutions with vendors and customers and acquire shipping resources and supplies when needed. Over the past several years I implemented and continually fine tuned a year-end inventory count system. I hired and managed summer and inventory employees and created human resource documents to aid in this process. I have also written and published several educational parenting fliers for the company that are distributed nationally and internationally.

I hosted varied day and overnight corporate, school, sports teams, secular and non secular CAP groups sized from 5 people to 200 during which I facilitated high and low ropes, team-building and group initiative elements. I also helped manage and maintain high and low ropes equipment.

I provided informal, hands-on outdoor education for children in ages 5-17 in groups of 10-150, average of 15 and was versed in over 40 classes on biology, geology, energy conservation, ecology, and history. I facilitated evening programs such as night hikes, campfire songs and skits and performed in living history programs such as The Underground Railroad , 1796 and pioneer classes.I maintained the nature center and raptor cages and am experienced in feeding, grooming, tacking and running trail rides for a herd of 28 horses. I also performed lifeguard duties for lake, river and pool activities such as kayaking, swimming and canoeing.
