Working in the concrete lab I did compressive strength testing on cylinders, cores, cubes and blocks. I also tested tensile strength of beams, capped blocks and grinded' cylinders. I wrote up and typed daily, weekly and monthly efficiency reports. Keeped the water tanks at the right temperature, and did sieve analysis. When my work was done I would do any other task required including helping other labs like asphalt, aggregates and soils or typing if needed.

Working in the aggregate lab I split samples, washed soils, did sieve analysis of coarse and fine. I also prepared and ran hydrometers as well as compaction test using proctors and H2O and acid chloride testing of concrete. I got a chance to work in the asphalt lab using gyrator to make asphalt BRD and MRD and asphalt Marshall testing.
