I was trusted with such responsibilities as organizing group meetings and I organized the installation of the lab’s first glovebox which I then trained BSc students to use. - I taught third year level undergraduate inorganic chemistry labs as well as second year level undergraduate spectroscopy tutorials. - I would prepare prior to the labs by taking notes that included tips for the students on how to work efficiently. As well as key points that they needed to focus on in their lab reports. - I would be the only teaching assistant present during the labs meaning I got to know each student quite well. I often demonstrated a method or technique for them at first but as the semester went on I would ask them to work on their own while I watched. - Lastly, I would mark all of their lab reports, giving detailed feedback and comments on how to improve. I also marked many of their in course evaulations such as their midterms and finals.

- I began research with the Zenkina group in the Winter of 2016 and stayed on its team for my fourth-year thesis starting in the Fall of 2016. During this time, I developed sensors for the detection of iron as well as sensor for the hemoglobin protein, during this I developed technical skills using UV-vis spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. - During the summer of 2017 I worked on designing catalysts for fuel cells in the Easton lab. This experience taught me several different technical skills doing electrochemical analysis (cyclic voltammetry, rotation disk electrode, etc) and thermogravimetric analysis.
