The Benchmarking Insitute is a non-profit organization housed on the JCCC campus. For nearly 20 years, the Institute has partnered with hundreds of community colleges nationwide to empower decision-making through relevant and timely benchmarking data to promote student and organizational success. My team and I work closely with educational institutions and educational constituents nationwide in using data to accelerate impact, inform and influence policy and program design, and then share lessons learned with others.

The mission of the EHRCC is to secure and protect the individual rights of citizens of Jackson County by:- promoting justice and improving human relations,- reconciling conflict between government and citizens, and - improving the quality of government administration.

Appointed by U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, to serve on the Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) for the U.S. Department of Education as a Higher Education Representative. Focus was on the Central Region encompassing Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Data gathered regarding the need for technical assistance activities described in section 203 of the ETAA. Appointees obtained input from educators, parents, teachers, administrators, members of the regional educational laboratory governing board, LEAs, librarians, businesses, SEAs, and other constituents. We then submitted a report to the Secretary of Education on the assessment and analysis of educational needs in the Region and technical advice regarding how those needs would be most effectively addressed. This experience provided the opportunity to collaborate with constituents to share experiences, analyze data, identify gaps, and provide action items to Secretary Cardona to promote an education system that is effective, equitable, and responsive.
