Have been commissioned to do acrylic paintings for the last few years. Styles that I’ve painted include abstract, realism, and texture pieces. I have experience in print and runway work. I’ve also done promotional modeling, product modeling, and some film work. I have an agent who books me for jobs, but I also get a lot of work on my own. Modeling has helped me maintain a good self-image because jobs have encouraged me to eat healthily, stay physically fit, and dress appropriately. Being behind the scenes and seeing the end products has helped me understand how important each role is when starting a new project. The model, lighting, composition, wardrobe, styling, makeup, photography, set design, and graphic design are each an equally important component in making a modeling project successful. Modeling has also helped me market myself, develop social skills, and activate a whole other artistic side of myself.

-Graduated in May, 2012, from the CEDA accredited Interior Design program at Louisiana State University with a bachelors in interior design and a minor in fine art.

Interned at a flooring store that serviced both residential and commercial projects. A main task involved taking measurements of interior spaces in order to calculate the amount of square footage needed for a desired flooring type. For example: I would measure a bedroom and hallway and then determine that 1,500 sq.ft. of carpet would have to be ordered for the client. Tasks also included doing site visits to assess project installations. I participated in many client meetings; worked in programs such as AutoCAD, On Screen Takeoff, and Photoshop. Working the show room floor involved answering phones, selling products, meeting with flooring reps, and helping clients select floor types. I also helped organize their showroom and filing system, did general inventory and bookkeeping, and designed the large posters to put in the storefront windows.

Worked at a mall retail store. Developed retail and customer relation skills. Responsibilities included organizing the store’s show room, greeting customers, and managing customer transactions.

Worked at a Plastic Surgeon’s private practice. Developed customer relation skills. Tasks included general bookkeeping, inventory, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and organizing the office space. I also shadowed the Doctor when he went in the patient rooms, which helped me develop good listening skills and note taking habits.

Interned with a small, well-respected interior design firm that focused on high-end residential projects. Tasks involved selecting furniture, materials, and color schemes; managing the floor sales, participating in client meetings, and going to project locations to review installation progress. Managing the retail space included the sale of home accessories, art, and furniture.
