As the manager for Pharmacy Technician Training program admissions for 3-4 classes per year, 14-18 students per class, my responsibilities included screening (over 400 calls and over 150 attended orientation/testing per year) and conducting intake interviews (over 60 per year) to find candidates who met the funding criteria and were likely to be successful. I developed rapport with students after admission and met with them at least weekly to identify and find solutions to barriers to their success in the course. I greatly enjoyed listening to students and developing working relationships with them. My hope for the future is to work with people where I can assist them to improve their lives. My ability to manage detailed case records and to supervise/train others to meet funding criteria gives me great satisfaction.
