Diamond Hotels Management Inc. is a hotel management company that owns and operates hotels and restaurants in Kingston and Sault Ste. Marie.I am currently responsible for managing the development, implementation, maintenance, legal compliance and continuous improvement of the Human Resources function: Recruitment & Retention, Compensation, Group Benefits, Health & Safety, Employee Relations, and Training & Development for all companies within Diamond Hotels Inc.•Initiate, develop and implement HR policies and procedures that foster a positive and high performing workforce•Coach and lead peers and management team on HR initiatives and issues that are in line with their functional areas of responsibility•Develop and implement mechanisms for an effective performance management program•Develop succession planning processes that support staff development and advancement and facilitate the recruitment process•Provide day to day management to the HR Coordinator to ensure delivery of HR services to the organization•Provide leadership and guidance in the development of open, honest, bilateral communication, respect, and consideration of all staff and management through consultation, teamwork, and empowerment at all levels•Ensure best practices are continuously followed in fostering high levels of engagement and empowerment at all levels•Support and advise all levels of the organization on matters related to administration and interpretation of company policies and procedures and collective agreement•Participate in labour/management meetings and collective bargaining process as a management representative•Facilitate prompt and effective conflict resolution approaches for issues identified by staff both inside and outside of the bargaining unit•Oversee and manage health & safety programs to ensure compliance

Assisted the Human Resources team in the daily operation of the Human Resources Office while having overall responsibility for certain areas of the Human Resources functions. This included the recruitment and selection process for all divisions of the Club, managing applicant flow, employee sign-up and orientation, employee relations and communications, assisting staff members and managers in resolving problems and managing performance challenges, group benefits and pension plan administration and the maintenance and accuracy of data in the Human Resources Information System.

Provided administrative support to the Human Resources Department with a focus on the recruitment process and employee relations.
