I am a engineer at Pratt & Whitney focused on Systems Integration. My background and expertise is engine operability and performance, and I use these skills daily to bring together teams for a common goal. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and personalities, and thrive in a team environment. I'm an extremely analytical person, who enjoy breaking down an issue to understand the root causes, path forward, results required and risks involved.Prior to my current position I spent 4 years at Boeing as an engineer in the Propulsion Systems Division. I've had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of engineering roles. I've had four positions through various projects, airplane life-cycle stages, analysis and design, focused on building both leadership and technical skills. After 3 rotations through Fuels Design, Aerodynamics and Engine Controls, I'm currently in a great engineering position in the Engine Performance group. There I supported the 737MAX Flight Testing. Before my career began at Boeing, I graduated with an undergraduate and a masters degrees of Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan where I focused on Gas Dynamics and Jet Engine Propulsion.I'm an energetic person that loves to take a difficult problem and run with it. Solving complex problems requires deep technical knowledge, teamwork, strong communication and leadership. I frequently integrate various experts, mechanics, leadership and our customers to focus on long term results and customer experience. This strategy results in technically sound solutions that maximize the benefit and minimize negative impact to the involved systems.

Engine Operability EngineerPratt & Whitney Dec 2016 - Jan 2021East Hartford, Ct, UsI am the lead for a Commercial Engine Program Field Support Team, focusing on customer experience from a technical perspective. I work closely with airframers, airlines and suppliers to solve complex field issues, including immediate engine malfunctions and long term health of the fleet. This role has included significant development test experience, where I led an Operabilty engine test throughout the planning, execution and analysis phases. -
Engine Peformance EngineerBoeing May 2015 - Nov 2016Arlington, Va, UsI worked as the key integrator between the airplane and engine companies, requiring a working understanding of the engine and the performance to be expected in all parts of the flight envelope. The position built a close working relationship with the engine company and other airplane systems. This understanding is needed to ensure the engine meets all certification and company requirements, such as thrust and bleed levels.I was been the flight test focal for flight test focal for several Certification Tests, responsible for tool development, creating certification plans and analyzing data to verify FAA regulations are met. After flight test, I used this flight test data to build key engine performance models critical for the aircraft's entry into service. These models integrate the engine company and airplane models to best approximate the engine's performance throughout the flight envelope. -
Fuel System Design Engineer, Kc-46 TankerBoeing Aug 2014 - May 2015Arlington, Va, UsMy role was to coordinate reconciliations of discrepancies between current airplane and production airplane’s processes & configuration, involving redesign of various fuel system parts.Process Improvement was a key task in the fuels design group. I established new mechanical designs and improved factory procedures for the fuel system installation by coordinating current designs, mechanics and other engineers. This effort reduced manufacturing time by 18 hours per airplane. -
Propulsion Aerodynamics Engineer - Product DevelopmentBoeing Jan 2014 - Aug 2014Arlington, Va, UsAs a Aerodynamics engineer, I developed improved computational models for early product development designs for more accurate representations of future engine nacelles based on details and analysis of previous Boeing designs. In Product Development, I researched engine nacelle design and integration with aircraft wing designs by analyzing nacelle drag and laminar flow capabilities for various nacelle characteristics. -
Engine Controls Engineer - 737MaxBoeing Feb 2013 - Dec 2013Arlington, Va, UsAs a controls engineer, my most important task was building a new database to accurately track all input and output signals for the electronic engine control unit to communicate with all other electronic units on the aircraft.Once these signals were tracked, I could analyze their paths through the airplane to meet safety regulations and streamline communications throughout the airplane.I Another tool developed with my time in controls was a tracking program to assist in ease and thoroughness of testing procedures in the Propulsion Integration lab. -
Aircraft Product Development Enviromental Control Systems Engineering InternNorthrop Grumman Corporation May 2012 - Aug 2012Falls Church, Va, UsI modeled ram air circuit of military aircraft using MATLAB (Simulink) software to model pressure and temperature characteristics throughout the airplane system in various flight conditions. This model was used to represent the supplier's model, and did so accurately. It could then be used in further aerodynamic aircraft design. -
Space Systems Engineering InternNorthrop Grumman Corporation May 2011 - Aug 2011Falls Church, Va, UsI led a project effort to update and revise documentation of procedures for transportation, rocket mating and launch site procedures for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST).Technically in this position, I evaluated and modeled the interaction between the heat generated by an electrical panel, the sunshield, and the observatory. -
Integration Test And Launch Mission Assurance Summer College InternNorthrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Jun 2010 - Aug 2010Falls Church, Va, UsMy role was to conduct assessments of labs at Northrop Grumman, checking for compliance Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Elimination Requirements. To understand where the most improvement could be found in this process, I compiled statistics about data of assessments completed findings documented. -
Integration Test And Launch Mission Assurance Engineering InternshipNorthrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Jun 2009 - Aug 2009Falls Church, Va, UsI was the key coordinator for detailed review of build paper (drawings, specifications, procedures and discrepancies) in support of launch decisions.
