Dr. Jacquelyn Henry is principal and founder of Collaborative Solutions Consulting and Management. Her practice includes all major areas of organizational development. She has worked for over 20 years as a senior executive within nonprofit organizations and as a consultant and trainer in the nonprofit sector. She has a passion for helping nonprofits strengthen their capacity to align leadership, programming and infrastructure with mission accomplishment. Dr. Henry has first hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Boards of Directors and executive directors as they journey toward fulfilling their visions. She has expertise in developing strategic collaborative community partnerships and implementing and analyzing policies and programs that improve service and outcomes. Dr. Henry has provided training, facilitation and consulting to numerous organizations across the nation. She is a national trainer on board development and human services programming. She is a Standard for Excellence Licensed Consultant ® through the National Standards for Excellence Institute.

Directed and supervised the day-to-day operational and program activities of a non profit organization that promoted and supported the citywide interests of five neighborhood-based human service delivery hubs. Planned for organizational development, data management, strategic positioning and fiscal management. Demostrated leadership in the development of a citywide legislative agenda as well as public policy and advocacy as it related to child welfare and family support at the local and national levels. Organized and conducted research on the impact of services on targeted population and staff, Developed proposals and acquired over $8 million for building capacity and infrastructure as well as funding of program initiatives. Co-authored Responding to Gang, Crew, and Youth Violence in the District of Columbia: A Blueprint For Action. Instrumental in leading the collaborative effort that was decreasing the number of children in foster care in the District of Columbia. Assisted in the development of the first fathers court and lead the effort to locate government social service staff within the community.

Directed and supervised the day to day program activities of Housing and Commercial Development, Business Development, Finance and Administration, and Community Building divisions of an award winning Community Development Corporation with a staff of 18 employees and an annual budget of $2.1 million dollars. Made significant improvements in operations and ability of the organization to meet outcomes. Outcomes included: A 900,000 square foot retail development project that has changed the landscape of the 14th Street corridor in Northwest Washington; A successful neighborhood jobs initiaitve that included job development, training and counseling, job opportunities and support services; Advocacy on behalf of tenants that enabled them to gain ownership of their property; and Stronger relationships with foundations, banks, and private entities resulting in over $400,000 in financial support.

Ensured effective and sfficient day to day operations by managing all functional areas (human resources, accounting, general administration and information technology) of this $5.2 million organization with 64 employees. Implemented a management team approach with senior staff. Interpreted and analyzed organization specific evaluations and made significant improvements in service delivery systems. Acheived consensus among community leadership to meet social and economic agenda.Secured $3.1 million in funding by building relationships with foundations,banks and public/private entities. Secured funding for and implemented the developement of the J. C. Nalle Community School.
