Safety Specialist
Current• Manages the Safety and Health Program, leads safety committee, maintains all safety-related files and reports, ensures compliance with OSHA standards o Maintain OSHA logs• Assist in PSM program, coordinating audits, on the PHA team reviewing safety concerns, coordinating with contractors, maintains organization of documents• Assists in the Emergency Response Team• Coordinates periodic safety inspections• Review all safety investigation reports• Prepare monthly safety training materials and giving instruction on personal safety, food safety, quality and food security• Ensures GMPs are being followed• Handle all worker’s compensation claims and oversee the facilities first aid program. Accompanies injured employees to doctor offices for treatment and follow ups.o Work with worker compensation insurance carrier to oversee claims• Reviews injury/illness and non-injury incidents and the team leader of the Investigation Team• Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulations related to food safety and personnel safety• Assist in orientation by entering I9’s into ICIMs, filling out 8850’s, entering W4 into Kronos, making ID badges, and presenting safety procedures and rules for new employees. • Conducts contractor orientation • Enter medical, dental and vision insurance into Kronos for qualifying employees
