I am a graduate of Syracuse University, where I majored in Child and Family Studies, with a concentration in Youth and Family Development. In my time at Syracuse University, I gained skills working with children and families of diverse ages and backgrounds. I became particularly driven to pursue a career in mental health counseling for young adults in an academic setting. My study abroad experience in Florence, Italy allowed me the opportunity to work as a mentor and peer advisor for the first-semester students studying abroad, while simultaneously adapting to college life. This inspired an independent study on first-semester study abroad programs and solidified an undeniable drive to continue studying Italian language and culture in order to pursue a career counseling study abroad students in Italy.
