The human resources manager is responsible for providing ongoing support to the Bainbridge plant in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and regulatory compliance.

Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function at the Commission.

As a member of the management team of the College’s Human Resources Office, this position performs various roles. As the Recruitment Manager, I was responsible for the overall direction of recruitment for the College. This includes implementation of an applicant tracking system, revising recruitment forms, and updating recruitment procedures. Additionally, this role served as point of contact for Executive Team members on Executive and Administrative searches. This role also served as a lead in policy development and procedure writing. The role was also a key member in ERP system development and implementation for Human Capital Management and as a trainer on HR Soft Skills. Responsible for the development of several key programs, including: complete overhaul of the College's New Employee Orientation, which included branding the orientation program the "TCC Experience" as well as initiating a new performance management system entitled the "TCC TMS - Talent Management System."

As the HR Specialist I in charge of HR Special Projects, the primary duties include: Special projects involving office automation, HRIS Leave and Attendance Module Roll-out, streamlining On-Boarding process, Development and Implementation of Basic Supervisory Training, Evaluation and Revision of Performance Management Tool, and coordinating HR Outsourcing projects, including leading the successful implementation of the College’s first ever Applicant Tracking and Onboarding System. Additional duties include: position maintenance (creating, updating, and reclassifying positions), responding to Unemployment Compensation claims and representing the College during UC Appeals Hearings, Worker’s Compensation, and investigating employee relations matters.

As a member of the Human Resources Team, this position was tasked with Organizational Management and Recognition functions for the department. The position’s responsibilities also included performing the functions of training and employee development, interpreting department policies, Florida statutes and rules, advising Senior Management and other special projects as assigned by the Division Director of Administration and Bureau Chief of Human Resources. I was also tasked with creating employee satisfaction surveys, creating ad hoc reports, and legislative analyses.

The job responsibilities for this position involved the completion of Human Resource related duties in the University Libraries Human Resource Office. These duties included, but are not limited to: Department Representative to HR and Payroll, time and leave entry and maintenance for Department employees, maintenance of Departmental employee files, maintenance of OPS employees (including monitoring Department OPS budget, hiring, and evaluation), generate on-demand reports, maintaining Department Organizational Charts, writing/updating position descriptions, handling travel arrangements for faculty librarian recruits, and other duties as required.
