I received this new title from former President Jonathan Brand in recognition of my leadership of the Marketing Communications Office. As a team, we earned 57 regional and national awards during my tenure in areas including writing, design, photography, publication improvement, student recruitment campaigns, overall branding programs, fundraising special events,development writing, fundraising materials, billboard, radio and TV campaigns, annual reports, 13 awards for the Doane Magazine, multimedia, videography, and public relations. For five consecutive years, the office earned the CASE Regional Sweepstakes Award, the district’s first-place “Sweepstakes Winner” in honor for earning the most Awards in our enrollment category, with additional points Awarded for entries produced in-house. (Received 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.)

• Lead the development and implementation of an annual integrated marketing and communications plan with a primary focus on Admission and Advancement.• Oversee a team of six professionals with areas of oversight such as advertising (including calendar and budget), branding and messaging, campaign development, design, copywriting, college website, email and other electronic communications, photography and archives, public and community relations, videography, crisis communications, and until recently, event planning. • Provide a variety of writing and editing support including, but not limited to, Admission recruiting materials, Advancement fundraising campaigns, the Doane Magazine alumni publication, press releases, crisis communications, website content, speeches for the President, and other key internal communications.

• Directed the design, development and implementation of all marketing and communication strategies for external target markets and the Agency Sales distribution channel. • Researched, developed and implemented complex marketing strategies to support sales and market expansion including an annual marketing sales strategy. • Managed marketing support for prospecting and lead generation, product launches, website management, recruiting support, client promotional events, publications, sales materials, contests and incentives, and more. • Completed challenging assignments from top management, often involving writing sensitive or crisis communications on an urgent deadline.
