For the last 3 years I have been working in the cruise industry as a Port Shopping Expert, promoting Luxury jewellery retailers like: Diamonds International, Kays Fine Jewellery, John Bull, Effy jewellery and Columbian Emeralds International as well as luxury Brands like: Tag Heuer, Hublot, Bremont, Le Vian, Forevermark (De Beers Brand), Tanzanite and Breitling. Working on board has given me new insights into managing different parts of a business, to smoothly transition into one part of a whole, perfecting sales, public speaking and working in a tough work environment. I am able to deliver informative and well researched seminars and meetings to a large group of people and I have the ability to keep the attention of a full audience. I am able to manage large groups of guests for excursions out into the ports of call as well as co-ordinating my team onboard and on land simultaneously to have a smooth-running program.I always complete my work on time and in a professional manner. I continue to learn and research every aspect of my job each day and I love sharing my knowledge with my team. I give my complete attention to the task at hand while keeping a friendly face and well-groomed manners. My job intitled me to promote the brands, help the guest shop and help the retailers make the sale. • Customer service played a big role in this position as well as co-ordinating my team onboard and the teams in the different retailers of every port. • Teams onboard included: the printer, Hotel Director, Cruise Director, Finance department and schedule department.• Teams on land included: Store managers for up to 8 stores per port, sales associates in those stores and Shore Excursions.
