I have been passionate about finance and economics since I was a child. I started trading as an underage curious young boy. Today, as a hobby, I manage a private portfolio by mostly trading derivatives on the US equity market. I obtained a bachelor degree in Economics (USI) and a master degree in Banking & Finance at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) with a specialisation in quantitative methods and data science. During the first year of bachelor, I discovered the power of combining technology with finance. Since then, I mastered several programming languages (Python, R, Julia, JavaScript, etc.) both by frequenting university courses and as a self-taught. I developed multiple software for backtesting algorithmic trading strategies, price derivatives, predict earnings announcements and credit ratings with machine learning models, scrape the web, manage big data, and many others. During my studies, I also acquired extensive knowledge in corporate finance. In particular, I learned how to analyse financial statements, work on M&A deals (buy/sell-side) and use different valuation models to assess the value of a company. During my master, I spent an exchange semester at the University of Western Australia where I had the opportunity to learn about Human Psychology, Social entrepreneurship and other financial subjects. I travelled across Australia for more than 8000 km with a campervan and had the opportunity to visit wonderful places and get to know amazing people.I graduated in October 2020 from the University of St. Gallen. In January 2021, I started a Graduate Talent Program (All-Rounder) at Cornèr Banca SA which is turned out to be one of the most interesting experience of my life!Today I am working as an equities, bonds and structured products trader.
