I am Jacques Davids, a final year social work student at Stellenbosch University. I am a very alert and dependable person my interest is to take part in Youth Development and Further Functional training courses which will enable me to look at a new perspective at current issues that we have in our societies. Therefore, I have a deep interest in the effects of constructive development amongst our youth and in our communities. I follow key principles in our country by making my contribution through my involvement in different movements such as engagement in activities at the University of Stellenbosch. My dream is to become a social worker for the Department of Social Development which will focus on the implementation of policy and legislation, which will have a definite effect on our youngsters. I have been developing my interpersonal skills since becoming involved in the Chrysalis Academy until Stellenbosch University where I have been for numerous times a mentor. Through skills have been advancement through my involvement at Huis Russel Botman being in charge of the security and safety portfolio, I was also a student assistant at the Centre for Student communities at Stellenbosch University, and I have engage with numerous people in the places of employment where I have been. Further, I have been in contact with different personalities through my work environment, which contributed towards a more flexible and understanding personality.
