During my time at the NHLS I obtained a vast array of valuable experience in the fieldof laboratory medicine. In virology I gained experience performing nucleic acidextraction, PCR and serology. I rotated through all the different microbiology benches,acquiring experience in staining techniques, microscopy and culture methodologies.Additionally, I spent time on the MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer and the VITEK. Inhematology I gained experience in blood typing, blood smear and staining, as well asmicroscopy and machines like Aquios flow cytometry and Sysmex XN & CS-2100i.

Assisting clients with disability, critical illness and life insurance, as well as investment portfolio management.

During internship I gained a wide range of clinical experience as I worked, trained and rotated through various disciplines.
