Elancourt

My PhD thesis (CIFRE) was done with the GREYC laboratory (Université de Caen Normandie) and Airbus Defence and Space (Elancourt). I worked on "Discovery, clarification and management of semantic relationships by deep learning on a varied, voluminous information base of varying veracity". The topic was applied to maritime intelligence using the available data about vessels (mainly AIS). Using knowledge graphs, we modeled the vessels and their interactions, as well as their evolution through time. Each element of the graph had attributes to describe them, making the graph temporal and attributed. The main objective was to predict new relational links between the nodes of the graph using graph-based deep learning. We also wanted to add an uncertainty measure to the predicted relation.

Elancourt

My internship was focused on the detection of abnormal behavior in the maritime traffic. Using AIS data (GPS for vessel), we used autoencoder networks to detect anomalies within the normal traffic. In the meantime, I also worked on another anomaly detection method based on the creation on normalcy patterns for a given area. Outliers are detected by comparing the actual traffic to these outliers.
