I started off my career at Linden High school (1993) where I taught math's and science to grade 8 to 12's . In 1995 I was appointed as a Laboratory Scientist for 4 facilities at Abrasives Corporation. I became the Laboratory Manager in 1997 which I held until the merger with Saint-Gobain Abrasives in 1999. My Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety career started in 1995 with the implementation of best practices for the facilities.In 2000 I was appointed as an Applications Engineer (RND) and Quality Manager and in 2001 Saint-Gobain made me the Application Engineering (RND) Manager.In 2002 Saint-Gobain embarked on obtaining the ISO9001:2000, ISO14001 and ISO18001 certification and I became the SHEQ manager. In 2004, Saint-Gobain Abrasives were awarded the ISO9001:2000 certification and in 2006 received a diamond award for the best SHE facility (out of 420 facilities) in Saint-Gobain. In the same year I took on their GRI, Enterprise Risk and Disaster Risk processes. As part of my SHERQ duties I was elected to conduct the water and energy footprint initiatives of the facilities. In 2008 I joined Quatern Advisory services, a member of KV3 engineering. I was made a principle consultant and duties included quality management. In 2009 I was made Executive: Power. In KV3 I was made a project manager and in 2012 was promoted to senior project manager and were asked to manage the Environmental Consultants in South Africa. In 2013 I was promoted to Environmental Manager and received my SACNASP registration. In 2014 I left WorleyParsons and were appointed as Environmental Group Manager at GCS. I manage a team of specialists including, Environmental, Water, Ecology, Social and Legal. One of my key responsibilities is to have a strategic input into the business Unit specific growth. In 2019, CIGroup, a comodity inspection company gave me an opportunity to start a new arm in their business. 2019 will see CIGroup expand in Air, Soil and Water services to all RSA markets.
