AirMap’s goal is to create the infrastructure required for the world of lowaltitude autonomous aircraft of tomorrow.Key Contributions:- Worked with a team to successfully place TensorFlow AI Computer Vision models on a drone to detect pedestrians in order to perform risk analysis and reroute flights.- Designed and built new algorithms in Python to determine if a given flight plan would remain within visual line of sight of UAV operators, and if not, to perform pathfinding to reroute accordingly.- Contributed to various parts of the AirMap iOS app, which is used by over 250,000 registered users, including adding new geo-caging and geo-fencing functionality for recreational users to create a safer airspace for all.
