Project Manager
CurrentThe Project Manager is a senior position within Venter Consulting Engineers and includes the management of complex high-technology engineering projects through efficiently coordinating a multi-disciplinary and diverse pool of resources. Typical responsibilities include:- Initiate, manage, and take lead on all projects from inception to close-out, on-time, within scope and budget and meeting quality and professional standards- Manage project performance, changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques- Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals- Coordinate internal resources, availability, allocation and third parties/vendors for the execution of engineering projects- Facilitate key business decision-making process- Customer engagement, scope clarification and project resource allocation- Evaluate project risk and develop contingencies- Manage the quoting process in conjunction with the responsible engineering resources- Submit and follow up on quotes issued- Order acknowledgement and project resource allocation- Facilitate project kick-off meetings with relevant stakeholders- Direct all company resources in collaboration with team leads and management, to ensure efficient and timeous delivery of projects, including, Engineers, technicians, artisans, production, project administration, human resources, logistics & general management, and all other staff to meet the project objectives- Review and approve sub-contractor orders to ensure the technical content, quantities, deliverables, delivery time, price and competitiveness is inline with project objectives and budgets- Sub-contractor engagement to ensure timeous reporting on progress and quality- Scope variations- Facilitate final invoicing- Project close-out meetings, and document all lessons learned, corrections and improvements in processes- Customer satisfaction
