•Manage build studios and transmitter sites. •Maintaining equipment for video production, broadcast, & satellite transmissions•Setting up and monitoring audio-visual links between units in various locations•Operated varied broadcasting equipment and outlined technical records & engineering logs.•Aided in video postproduction and maintained remote production facilities.•Adjust all digital and analog equipment•Monitor and adjust remote broadcasting transmitters to secure optimal quality signal strength and programming•Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts •Managing short, medium, and long-term broadcasting events including overseeing deployment for international broadcasters including SKY TV, CNN, BBC, AL-Jazeera•Responsible for all clients contact during setup and resolution of products while operating on an on-call rotation•Plan and coordinate all operational requirements for high-profile news events such (Oscar Pistorius trial of 2015 – 2016•Coordinating incoming and outgoing ad hoc content via satellite and ATM fibre links.•Comprehensive use of ScheduALL as a system to manage costs and build delivery schedules, log and deliver information pertaining to SNG trucks, Fly-aways, production services, as well as in-house technical resources.•Communication with Directors, studios, MCR & SatOps•Record and coordinate SatOps bookings after hours•Real-time co-ordination, troubleshooting & traffic management of services to network uplinks, downlinks, and service providers•Organizing and coordinating technical requirements to all relevant departments, such as SNG Uplink engineers, MCR & OB Facilities•Compile quotes on broadcasting services and tracking costs for budget purposes•Liaising with local and international customers to ensure a successful result•Checking and maintaining technical requirements with host broadcasters•Purchasing and scheduling satellite capacity and SNG services from third-party providers
