PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Building and strengthening external relationships with donors,host governments, international and national organizations; facilitating partnerships with other organizations for programming and advocacy. • Contributing in strategic planning to identify and/or create new disruptive and innovative opportunities – that led to a new partnership with Rwandan-based companies such K-Lab joining ALIGHT in creating new livelihood improvement initiatives. My contribution led to the opening of two coding school projects in Nyabiheke and Gihembe refugee camps, serving both refugees and Rwandans from the camp vicinity; • Contributing to resource development efforts for the Country program—concept notes and full proposals development for bilateral, multilateral donors, and new innovative initiatives, as well as analyzing information on potential donors, preparing substantive briefs and project proposals in line with donor priorities, creating feedback mechanisms and providing information on progress. • Contributing to the design and management of large scale events targeting a diversity of audiences – companies’ customers, donors, trustees, government officials, general population.• Engaging everyday people worldwide to create real change in the lives of refugees and vulnerable host community members and support events and projects that deepen empathy and understanding, build belonging and communities, and drive powerful action. Actively contributed and participated in all Changemakers activities done by ALIGHT Rwanda program. My design inputs aim at unleashing abundance in everyday people to seize opportunities and solve acute problems;

Mahama, Eastern Province, Rwanda

• Developing and executing programs funded by multiple grants such as UNHCR, BPRM, UNFPA, and any other grant as requested by the senior management team, with a major result being the good ongoing relationship between ARC the its donors, and partners and positively impacting lives of 60,000 refugees in Mahama refugee camps.• Led an expanded and very dynamic team of more than 70 employees. Implemented activities in all programs covered by ALIGHT in the camp (Health, WASH, Shelter/Infrastructures, Environment Protection, Livelihoods & Economic Recovery,), in line with the work plan, the available budgets and with donor requirements/guidelines, resulting in timely achievement of all targets in 2014, 2015, and strengthening ties with donors and partners – US-BPRM, ECHO, CERF (Through UNFPA), UNCHR, Rwanda Government field representatives.• Participating in the development of new programs expansion such as setting new refugee camps and leading a multi-million USD emergency intervention - this has been demonstrated during the Burundi post-electoral crisis - where I led/and still leading an emergency intervention serving more than 60,000 refugees, resulting into having all lifesaving sectors effectively running - health, shelter, nutrition, health education, comprehensive HIV/AIDS treatment and care packages.Contributed to setting goals and Be-Your-Best(BYB) principles, clear objectives and operating standards in Nyabiheke camp to increase accountability to the refugees and major donors – UNHCR and USBPRM. This resulted into transformation of more than 600+ shelters from plastic sheeting to semi-permanent descent dueling settings, gaps in healthcare system were filled. Advocated for essential health services provision – such as dental clinic equipment (Dental chair) and psychosocial support as part of care provided to hundreds of people living with HIV/AIDS.

• Conducted research and literature reviews for the HIV/AIDS treatment and Care scaling up in government systems, and participated in structuring the analytical approach and made modifications as needed to achieve specific objectives in collecting relevant quantitative and qualitative data to update the Human Resources for Health (HRH) Model as well as providing inputs to the HIV/AIDS costing and treatment scale up project. As a team, we were able to advise the government of Zambia on how to adjust the health system to meet the demand – in health human resource, drugs, health facilities, and capacity building demand created by a new World Health Organization (WHO) policy.• Communicated and worked with CHAI country teams to collect available and relevant data, which contributed to improved data quality and ultimately led to reports that informed CHAI country partners on impacts of WHO new guidelines on health sectors priorities such as health care provision and human resource for health across some different sub-Saharan countries – Malawi, Lesotho, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Zambia.

• One-year capstone project on policy analysis for local government and nonprofit organizations. Covered a simulation of the implementation of the Connecticut House Bill on Waste–to–Energy facilities offering solutions to local governments facing environmental challenges in handling industrial and municipal solid waste, and waste management for small water systems in India and Ghana for Safe Water Network (SWN), New York.• Developed with a team a Geographical Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing-based Integrated Decision Support Tool (DST) for small water systems in India and Ghana for Safe Water Network, New York.• Explored natural sciences that are critical to address issues of sustainable development around climate change, water resources management, biodiversity, epidemiology, economics and financial management of public institutions and non-for profit organizations.

Burera, Northern Province, Rwanda/ Kigali, Rwanda

• Developed a Monitoring and Evaluation system for the Rwandan Public Health Sector, which enabled the Rwandan government to design data-informed plans for health facilities at the District and national level.• Supported the Ministry of Health to establish a database and web portal that compiles data from various health sector departments in order to assist with policy-making and monitoring and evaluation.• Built data management standards for the Ministry Of Health in Rwanda, operating procedures, and health system reinforcement for the District Health System, in addition to providing support for day-to-day activities.

Butare, Southern Province, Rwanda

•Planned and led qualitative data collection in Health and Agriculture Sector projects to address living standards in Rwanda, culminating in a report to the World Bank.• Coordinated mapping and data collection for Economic Activities – Covering Agriculture, Food Value Added Chain, and Trade.
