Manage the strategic direction and operations of a portfolio of luxury brands such as Bvlgari, Hermes, Coach, Van Cleef & Arpels, Elemis & Jack Black. Oversee a team of 3 brand managers and 2 marketing assistants

The purpose of the role is to develop the brand in South Africa through optimum use of the A&P investment tools, ensuring a 360̊ approach to all marketing strategies, ultimately growing market share and brand image in South Africa.

I was responsible for the strategic HR direction of the Prestige Cosmetics Group, as well as the core day-to-day running of the department in the organization. I worked closely with the CEO and COO on a daily basis to ensure the people strategy of the company gets executed. I also worked closely with the General Managers of the Marketing and Sales teams on strategies to ensure that optimal performance is reached resulting in increased profitability for the company.

I was responsible for the day-to-day handling of all Vertigo’s Human Resource duties. I also started playing a role in the leadership team for the brand Vertigo in 2012. This involved the analysis of the brand’s momentum and performance as well as making strategic decisions that will increase the turnover of the brand. This position enabled me to play a holistic role in the day-to-day management of the brand with the brand team.
