Dr. Robinson has supported teacher and staff growth through new teacher mentoring programs and facilitation of Professional Learning Communities as well as community partnerships. Through the new teacher mentoring program, Dr. Robinson serves on the selection committee of new teachers to the campus. He then facilitates the growth of staff capacity by coordinating the orientation of new teachers to the campus through a 14 week onboarding process. In addition, he promotes teacher growth through continuously taking part in the development and assessment of individual staff goals. Dr. Robinson also coordinates the Professional Learning Communities with a daily process in which the focus is on instruction, student learning, assessment, and teacher development. Dr. Robinson has also encouraged a community partnership toward education by serving as a campus liaison between his campus and a local university to provide skill development for pre-service teachers prior to individual student teaching. These various strategies implemented during the 10 years Dr. Robinson served as an assistant principal have led to increased student achievement on a yearly basis.Through his various roles as a teacher, department chair, and leadership team member, he has obtained the skills of an effective collaborator, coordinator, and communicator. As an educational diagnostician, Dr. Robinson's strengths grew in the areas of organization, parent/community relations, and group facilitation as well. As an assistant principal, he has facilitated the improvement of student achievement, teacher effectiveness, and a campus culture of learning as well as developed initiatives focusing on the needs of all stakeholders. His goals include collaboratively creating a positive and stimulating environment that develops the academic and social needs of the students, supports the professional development of staff, and encourages the participation of parents and other stakeholders. To support his professional growth, Dr. Robinson continuously reads educational magazines, opinion articles, research articles and participates in cohorts focusing on leadership development.
